The most gratifying part of our job is when we get to support mock and live inspections with our Ready Room customers. Seeing the system in action often gives us great ideas about how to improve the product, but frequently it just gives us a whole new appreciation for the features that are really there. Today's post is in appreciation of the Comments feature.
When a customer first suggested we add comments to requests, I thought it was a nice-to-have, but doubted that it would get much use. As it turns out, comments are key to the utility of Ready Room. Our customers use comments in the following ways:
- Fulfillers ask for clarification on requests
- Fulfillers add comments about uploaded documents that they want the Host to be aware of before they release the documents
- Fulfillers add context about information provided
- Fulfillers and Reviewers call in additional subject-matter experts to weigh in on questions
- Fulfillers provide estimates of how long it will take to complete the request
- Reviewers confirm the types of checks that they have done during their review (for example, cross-checking temperature excursions against a temperature excursion list)
- Reviewers and Hosts ask Fulfillers questions about documents uploaded and indicate why they are sending documents back
- Inspectors ask for clarification on requests
The comments save us from "re-litigating" complex requests throughout the inspection - anyone who is working on the request can review the comments at any time to understand the context of the request and the review.
Happy Commenting!
