Ready Room is happy to announce the roll-out of its TMF Locator.  Inspection team personnel retrieving documents for GCP inspections can use this component to generate suggestions for where to look in the TMF for a requested document. Ready Room uses AI-enabled natural language processing to parse the inspector's request and offer suggestions for where to start looking.

Whereas TMF search tools return results for individual documents based on the presence of the search terms in the document and metadata, Ready Room's TMF Locator uses our home-grown TMF Model Transformer to suggest a location in the TMF based on the TMF structure, enhanced with common synonyms and acronyms (see here for more information about the TMF Transformer). This feature is important because the TMF structure is not always intuitive.

For example, let's say that our inspector asks for a particular safety notification letter, and our Communicator enters the request into Ready Room like this:

Where to start?  If you go straight to the TMF, you might notices that Zone 07 is devoted to Safety Reporting - but that's not where these letters are typically filed.  If you type this query into the search function, it may return too many hits due to all the terms. Even if you type in "SNL," you may not get a hit unless your team includes this abbreviation in its document names or other metadata.

Hit "Toggle suggested TMF artifacts" in Ready Room, and you get recommendations for where to start:

Students of the TMF Reference Model will recognize artifact 05.04.09 as the likely location for safety letters sent to sites.

We hope this feature proves useful to those of you supporting GCP inspections.
